Girls Inspired Programme
Alongside our core EMPOWER programmes, PROJECT:ME also delivers a range of targeted wellbeing and personal development initiatives, including GIRLS INSPIRED – an Active Essex Foundation (Essex County Council) funded programme designed to support girls aged 11+ to build confidence, resilience and positive life skills through sport, mentoring and wellbeing support.
Delivered in partnership with the Active Essex Foundation, GIRLS INSPIRED combines physical activity with guided discussions, mentoring and personal development in a safe, supportive and empowering environment.
The programme is particularly beneficial for girls who may be experiencing:
- Low confidence or self-esteem
- Emotional wellbeing challenges
- Barriers to participation in sport or activity
- Social isolation
- Increased vulnerability or risk factors
- Challenges around relationships, identity or decision-making
Through weekly sessions led by experienced mentors and coaches, participants are encouraged to build confidence, strengthen peer relationships and develop the tools needed to navigate adolescence positively.
